The WDR technology built into Samsung Techwin cameras incorporates advance BLC (Back Light Compensation) capability. BLC has become an essential component of CCTV cameras that are to be located in areas where there may be bright sunlight.

Different manufacturers use different methods to achieve the objective which is to electronically compensate for high background lighting and thus provide detail of people or objects that would normally be silhouetted. Techwin BLC combines two separate fields of the same image. The first field is taken at a high shutter speed of the bright areas and the second field is taken of dark areas.
